Alpaca Husbandry Courses
Join us and our herd, for an informal day experiencing what its like to look after these delightful animals.
If you are already sure that you would like to join the growing number of Alpaca owners, then this is an excellent opportunity for you to learn, all that you need to know about starting out and will be a good grounding in their day to day care. You will go away with the confidence to tackle most simple husbandry tasks.
We offer two British Alpaca Society (BAS) affiliated training courses covering a range of modules. On both training courses we split the day between being outside handling the alpacas and sitting down under cover explaining the details. There will be plenty of time for your questions throughout the day.
Each training day will run from 10:00 until 16:00
Participants are asked to bring a packed lunch – drinks will be provided.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather conditions as part of the day will be spent outside.

Module 1: Feeding and basic alpaca management.
Module 2: Vaccination, supplements, illness and ailments.
Module 3: Handling alpacas (herding & catching, fitting a head collar & basic halter training).

Mindful Monday – Mulberry Alpacas Craft Club
Mindful Monday Craft Club here at Mulberry Alpacas will be running on Monday 31st March,7th April, 14th April,21st April 2025, from 2-4pm. The plan will be to have an introduction to:
Week 1 Kumihimo braiding.
Week 2 Needle felting.
Week 3 Crochet.
Week 4 Knitting and pom-poms.
Each session costs £20 which includes all the equipment and a cuddle with an alpaca! ( Age 13 and above)
